Belek is becoming the “centre of centres” for golf in Turkey with its convenient location just 30km east of Antalya – 25 minutes from the airport - in the centre of the southern seaboard on the Mediterranean. Belek began by opening the first golf course in the area in 1994 and in the interim the investment level in Belek has grown to allow its establishment on the international golf circuit with six top class courses, and many more on the drawig board. The Cornelia Nick Faldo “signature” course is fully available and has 27 holes beautifully set-out in picture-postcard scenery. The Colin Montgomerie 27-hole Papillon Course is also nearing completion. There are many other golf courses in Turkey of course, including those outside Istanbul, Ankara and Muğla which are all of a high standard.
